NICK CAVE - Carnage

Everybody’s losing someone

It’s a long way to find peace of mind, peace of mind

The Red Hand Files: “Carnage is a brutal but very beautiful record embedded in a communal catastrophe”.

“A protester kneels on the neck of a statue/ The statue says ‘I can’t breathe’/ The protester says ‘Now you know how it feels’/ And he kicks it into the sea” di “White Elephant” è un verso che ricorda la morte di George Floyd.

This morning is amazing and so are you”. Interessante come a seguito di una dichiarazione così romantica segua un verso ben diverso: “You are languid and lovely and lazy/ And what doesn’t kill you just makes you crazier”.
