Oneida – "Here It Comes"
The Oneida will release their new album on July 19th. It will be titled "Expensive Air" and will come out on Joyful Noise Recordings. The seventeenth full-length effort from the US band arrives two years after its predecessor, "Success". Along with the announcement of the new album came the release of the first single, "Here It Comes": watch the video directed by Barry London below.
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds – “Frogs”
New single from Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds: it's called "Frog" and previews the forthcoming album "Wild God", due out on August 30th. "I hope the album has the same effect on listeners that it had on me," Cave wrote in a message. "It comes out of the speaker and I'm overwhelmed by it. It's a complicated record, but also deeply and joyously infectious. There's never a masterplan when we make a record. Records tend to reflect the emotional state of the writers and musicians who played them. Listening to this one, I don't know, it sounds like we're happy."
Subsonica – "Scoppia La Bolla" feat. Willie Peyote, Ensi
The video for "Scoppia la bolla", the track by Subsonica featuring Willie Peyote and Ensi taken from the latest album "Realtà aumentata", released this past January 12th, is now available. The band from Piedmont will be one of the highlights of this summer's major festivals with La Bolla Tour, kicking off on May 31st in Livorno.
The video for "Scoppia la bolla", produced by Comodo64 and directed by Ivan Cazzola – who also directed the video for "Pugno di Sabbia" –, was shot during the Subsonica 2024 Tour, which last April saw the band play Italy's major arenas.
Billie Eilish – "Lunch"
Billie Eilish posts the biggest numbers of her career with the new album "Hit Me Hard And Soft". In just one week the album racked up a record half a billion total streams, with all 10 tracks charting on both Spotify and Apple Music. The single "Lunch" is currently the most-streamed song in the world, sitting at #1 on Spotify's global chart with over 12 million streams in 24 hours, as well as topping Apple Music and iTunes.
Chameleons – “Where Are You?”/”Endlessly Falling”/”Forever”
It's a season of comebacks for the veteran bands of British new wave. After Matt Johnson's The The, who returned with a new track after a quarter of a century, now it's the Chameleons' turn to raise the curtain on their music again after 23 years of inactivity. The band led by Mark Burgess has released the EP "Where Are You?", a preview of the imminent new "Arctic Moon", their first album since 2001's "Why Call It Anything?".
