Low - Double Negative
Low, a band that has never released two identical albums in a row, vent the torment of horror on "Double Negative" in a cathartic, harrowing tabula rasa. An artistic harakiri, their most extreme record and one of the most devastating works of recent years.
Anna von Hausswolff reaches full consecration with her mature masterwork, while Sons of Kemet take the bronze thanks to their complete and articulate jazz vocabulary

Anna Von Hausswolff - Dead Magic

"Dead Magic" is the album that cements Anna von Hausswolff's status as a fascinating new gothic muse. Blessed with a unique style - somewhere between drone music, doom metal and dark prose - the Swedish artist pairs the use of an atypical instrument like the church organ with a fascination for Scandinavian legends and folklore. The whole thing is enriched by an evocative voice, suspended between Kate Bush and Diamanda Galás
