“Miniature” è la prima compilations della MiaCameretta Records, brillante e dinamica label con sede a Frosinone, provincia cronica del centro Italy.

Anche lì dove pare non crescere erba, esistono dei germogli nascosti, coltivati da sparuti amanti delle sette note che si dannano l’anima per far emergere le proprie intenzioni, la propria visione.

Filippo Passamonti è uno di questi: da oltre un decennio ama vendere dischi nel giardino di casa, quei dischi prodotti e registrati da lui stesso negli studi VDSS (Vintage Distorted Shitty Sound) con l’approccio di uno Steve Albini italico, ascoltare per credere. Il tempo gli sta dando ragione: la passione paga (quasi) sempre, qualche mese fa ha avuto l’opportunità di pubblicare una cassetta (ah, l’amore per il vintage!) con materiale di Above The Tree, e ora può permettersi di sedere a tavola con i nomi che contano della scena underground nazionale.

“Miniature” premia chi non si perde in discorsi inutili, chi arriva subito al punto, perché a volte “lungo” significa “noioso”, e questa genialata è solo il primo volume di quello che auguriamo possa diventare un piacevole periodico appuntamento. Genialata perché per poter apparire su “Miniature” occorre confezionare una traccia musicale che non superi il minuto di durata, pena l’esclusione. Ne sono state raccolte ben quaranta, da bere tutte d’un fiato, senza la possibilità per l’ascoltatore di poter skippare, perché la velocità dei pezzi da queste parti è superiore a quella del pensiero. L’idea è quella di replicare una compilations degli anni Ottanta prodotta da Morgan Fisher (si intitolava proprio “Miniatures”), che racchiudeva una cinquantina di microbrani provenienti dal panorama sotterraneo di quegli anni.

Scorrendo la tracklist di “Miniature”, i nomi cha saltano subito all’occhio son quelli di Bologna Violenta (la mitragliata grindcore “Metri cubi di sterco”), di Samuel Katarro (i surreali beat di “Disco Porcile”) e del già menzionato Above The Tree (il blues scorticato “Disco Shit Inferno”), i quali hanno gentilmente prestato la propria opera in un progetto che rispecchia a pieno la loro estetica musicale.

Accanto si posizionano alcune band in procinto di fare il grande salto nella scena ultra-alternativa nazionale, e altre decisamente poco conosciute ai più, ma altrettanto meritevoli: tutti contribuiscono andando ad occupare uno spazio che va da trenta secondi a massimo un minuto, e lo fanno riuscendo ad esprimere, sintetizzandole, le rispettive caratteristiche peculiari.

Dentro la compilations vengono abilmente compressi odori di redenzione (Bemydelay), echi indie (Culture Wars, Glass Rifle), chitarroni iper distorti (Panda Kid), voglie d’estate (Pedalò), meraviglie surf (Ava Kant), dissonanze (Psichomotricity In Kindergarten), sassofoni impazziti (Atomik Clocks), hardcore da vendere (Bandwidth, X-Mary, L’amo, Poptones), rumorismi assortiti (Monoise, Flying Vaginas, Marvekgrind), psichedelia contemporanea (Junkfood), raga circolari (Bloody Kangaroo, Camb vs Camp, Pseudosurfers, Strueia), elettriche atmosfericità (Frank Bombay), sei corde disturbanti (Nicoffeine), tendenze black (Specialist), beat da dancefloor (dj Minaccia), droni noise (Compoundead), slanci cantautorali poco allineati (Oratio, Mattia Schroeder), grunge minimale (Esercizi Base per le Cinque Dita), proto punk (Adirata, Blood ’77 & Amerigo Verardi), speed metal (As Any Wirs, Ken Park), bozzetti acustici (Marcello e il mio amico Tommaso). E ancora i Glasgo che giocano con le monetine, Adriano Lanzi che accorda la chitarra acustica, i Rug Rats che fanno i Verdena componendo melodie disturbate, i Vetro che sognano di essere i nuovi Massimo Volume (quelli di “Stanze”).

Siamo certi che per molti di questi musicisti i sogni si trasformeranno in realtà: le attitudini ci sono, le capacità non mancano di certo.

Progetti come “Miniature” servono per dare una vetrina alla label, ma soprattutto per conferire visibilità a decine di realtà musicali che si muovono nell’underground, con tutte le difficoltà che ben conosciamo. Parecchi di questi nomi stanno facendo cose importanti, altri si imporranno in futuro: non perdete l’occasione per scoprire queste piccole grandi realtà nascoste. Aiutatele ad uscire da un imbarazzante anonimato.
