Sette cd e quattro Dvd, per celebrare un'epoca e un suono, quello del progressive italiano. Resoconto di un doppio appuntamento musicale (5 e 6 novembre 2010 al Tendastrisce di Roma), con la direzione artistica di Franz Di Cioccio, "Prog Exhibition" è una vera manna dal cielo per gli appassionati del genere, che qui potranno ascoltare e apprezzare, in performance dal vivo, band storiche come Pfm, Osanna, Le Orme, Banco del Mutuo Soccorso, Trip, Raccomandata con Ricevuta di Ritorno, etc., alle prese con ospiti del calibro di Gianni Leone (Balletto di Bronzo), Claudio Simonetti (Goblin), David Cross (King Crimson), Ian Anderson (Jethro Tull), Thijs Van Leer (Focus) e David Jackson (Van der Graaf Generator).
Una festa di suoni e di atmosfere che va ben al di là del mero valore "artistico" dell'operazione, perché qui conta, innanzitutto, rievocare un periodo storico (gli anni Settanta) assolutamente eccezionale per la musica "giovane" del Bel Paese. Speranze, illusioni, paure e tanta, tanta creatività, anche velleitaria, certo!, ma comunque capace di smuovere le acque appantanate di un circo musicale, spesso e volentieri, in balia di pseudo-mostri sacri e fin troppo legato all'esperienza "reazionaria" del Festival di Sanremo. Inutile soffermarsi, dunque, sui singoli brani.
Ad arricchire il tutto, la presenza di alcune delle formazioni più chiacchierate dell'odierno panorama progressivo: Maschera di Cera, Periferia del Mondo, Abash e Sinestesia.
Nove ore di musica in tutto: non vi resta che ascoltare e guardare, in assoluto silenzio.
