Seriously, I can't find a rational reason to keep replicating a song after it's been recorded. What's the point? You should use the time available to create new music. Always. (Daniel Vahnke)

I was born in April 1989 and I live in the province of Prato, in a small town of ten thousand souls. At 13 I discovered music starting with records lent to me by friends, acquaintances and relatives. A few years later, I decided to turn grades and notes into reviews, becoming a blogger for about a decade, until blogs too went out of fashion. I've collaborated with PsyCanProg, the site run by my friend Valerio D'Onofrio, and since July 2016 I've been a contributor to Ondarock, after reading its reviews my whole life. Four years later I officially joined the editorial staff. In 2018 I curated the historical-musical aspects of the Post-Pop workshop: da Mozart alla Trap, sponsored by the Municipality of Prato. I grew up on rock, then fell in love with hip-hop, electronic music, folk, pop and everything else. Every now and then people paint me as a metalhead, but they're quite wrong (though I do adore "Reign In Blood"). I seek out listening experiences that leave me disoriented, astonished and speechless. When people ask me my favorite band, I always answer Pere Ubu, because "The Modern Dance" changed my life. Passionate about music history, I'm constantly searching for the sound of the future. Besides reading and writing about music, I'm into marketing, art, film, pop culture, and I love talking about science and philosophy with people who know more than me. I also enjoy composing, and sometimes I clumsily play my microKORG or my Fender. I was in a band for a few months, which left me with the urge to try again someday. In 2025, together with Valerio D'Onofrio, I published through the publishing house Ledizioni the first volume of UltraSuoni Italy, dedicated to "New Italian voices". It's part of a series of volumes inspired by the old Giunti books on the history of rock, but dedicated to contemporary Italian musicians.
