Kasabian release a new piece of their post-Meighan puzzle with "Hippie Sunshine", the first taste of the album "Act III", announced for 2026. The track, written and produced as usual by Sergio Pizzorno, comes across as an explosion of guitars and adrenaline that confirms the direction the Leicester band has taken in recent years.
"Hippie Sunshine" tackles existential themes through the metaphor of the uncontrollable energy of someone struggling to face reality. Pizzorno describes the track as a portrait of "that fleeting moment where everything feels light and limitless", while concealing "a deep sense of disconnection". A dichotomy between surface and depth that perfectly mirrors the band's artistic evolution.

Nine Inch Nails – "As Alive As You Need Me To Be"
Nine Inch Nails have released the music video for their new track "As Alive As You Need Me To Be", included on the soundtrack of the upcoming film "Tron: Ares". The single was released in July and the band is already performing it live during the North American leg of their world tour "Peel It Back". The "Tron: Ares" soundtrack came out on September 19th (pre-orders already available), while the film will hit theaters on October 10th. The video, directed by Maxime Quoilin, shows close-ups of frontman Trent Reznor singing the song, his face covered by numerous hands, an image that echoes the song's lyrics: "All these hands have got a hold of me". The Last Dinner Party – “The Scythe”
"The Scythe" is the second single taken from "From The Pyre", the new album by The Last Dinner Party, out October 17th. The song, written by Abigail Morris as a teenager, as a kind of personal prophecy, was born as a reflection on loss and grief processed through the end of a relationship. "This song was written nine years ago, as a prophecy. I wrote it before I knew the pain or suffering of a breakup, before I understood that the end of a relationship is exactly like the death of a loved one. Once you know what it means to lose someone, you enter a new realm from which you can never go back. You try to reach it telepathically through psychics or song lyrics (sometimes the two coincide), and sometimes they give you an answer. It can take nine years to realise you're grieving, but once you understand it, you see it everywhere: in a robin, in a street fox, in a Wim Wenders film. 'The Scythe' comes for everyone, and you shouldn't be afraid of what's on the other side". The track is accompanied by a video directed by Fiona Jane Burgess, which the band calls "one of our most intimate works, and one we're most proud of. In one sense it's a celebration of all those relationships that make you feel like you could live forever; in another, it's the fantasy of imagining what it would have been like if your parents had been able to grow old together".
