BOB DYLAN - Shadow Kingdom

2023 (Columbia)
folk, singer-songwriter

Suonano beffardi, i versi di “What Was It You Wanted“.

Finché, all’improvviso, è successo davvero.

When I Paint My Masterpiece”.

All’opposto, i languori country di “I’ll Be Your Baby Tonight” assumono un tono nervoso e vibrante, mentre “To Be Alone With You” viene addirittura riscritta come se fosse una visione appena concepita in una notte di febbre: “Oh what happened to me, darling? What was it you saw?/ Did I kill somebody? Did I escape the law?/ My heart’s in my mouth, my eyes are still blue/ My mortal bliss is to be alone with you”.
