Nel 2019 Rafael Anton Irisarri ci aveva consentito di conoscere una parola ancora semisconosciuta, ma di cui sentiremo parlare e di cui a breve capiremo in prima persona il vero significato, “Solastagia”, termine coniato dallo psicologo Glenn Albrecht che definisce il malessere individuale causato dai cambiamenti climatici. Da questo disagio nasceva un lavoro tipicamente irisarriano che oggi vede in “Agitas Al Sol” un secondo capitolo sul medesimo tema.

Già il titolo, quasi un anagramma di solastalgia, ci indica una continuità e una volontà di perseguire sui medesimi temi, tanto cari a Irisarri. Quindi due lunghe opere di circa venti minuti ciascuno, registrate nel 2019 per essere riproposte oggi. Sia “Atrial” che “Cloak” confermano lo stile che è il marchio di fabbrica di Irisarri, il musicista ambient che più d’ogni altro è riuscito a creare un suo suono, una sua materia sonora riconoscibile tra mille altre. Due lunghe suite elettroniche che ricordano le sue precedenti grandi opere senza particolari rinnovamenti.

“Atrial” ha quel suono che tipicamente ha segnato la carriera di Irisarri, pluristratificato, compatto e glaciale, mentre “Cloak” avanza lentamente ma inesorabilmente verso scenari cosmici e angoscianti. Se Irisarri con queste due lunghe suite vuole darci un squarcio del futuro del “mondo nuovo” che ci aspetta, di sicuro pensa a un futuro desolante percepito come un evento infausto visibile a tutti, che quindi opprime già il nostro presente.

 

Aldous Huxley nel suo “Il mondo nuovo” (“Brave New World”) fu persino troppo ottimista.
