BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN - Springsteen On Broadway

2018 (Columbia)
singer-songwriter, storytelling

The storyteller's first confession, in front of the audience of the small New York theatre, is that the poet is a pretender. "I've never seen the inside of a factory, and it's the only thing I've ever written about," he jokes. The man born to run is someone who ended up living ten minutes from his hometown. Someone who became famous writing about things he admits having no personal experience of. But that's exactly the storyteller's secret: making you live lives that aren't your own.

If I had one wish in this God forsaken world, kid/ It’d be that your mistakes will be your own/ That your sins will be your own”.
