Rolling Stones, five new songs on the way: Charlie Watts plays on one of them

15-10-2026

The Rolling Stones are back with new music. Mick Jagger and Keith Richards's band has announced the release, on November 27th, of “Foreign Tongues, Loose Lips”, an expanded edition of their latest album “Foreign Tongues”, released this past July 10th. The record, distributed by Polydor/Universal Music, will feature five additional recordings from the studio sessions that produced the original album.
The new tracks are “Where There’s A Will”, “Who You Callin’ Crazy”, “Human Tide”, “Bad Luck Hideaway” and “She Still Comes Around”. Guests include jazz saxophonist Courtney Pine, who appears on “Who You Callin’ Crazy”, while “Bad Luck Hideaway” features a vocal duet between Jagger and Richards and also includes a contribution from the late drummer Charlie Watts.

These, however, are not five entirely unreleased tracks: “Bad Luck Hideaway” had already appeared as a bonus track on the iTunes-exclusive edition of “Foreign Tongues” and was recently made available on digital platforms as the B-side of the single “Mr. Charm”. “Who You Callin’ Crazy”, the first taste of the new collection, will instead be released digitally on October 16th.
In a message shared on social media, the Stones gave a preview of the mood of the additional recordings, promising a return to their musical roots: "Let's talk about blues, country and that unmistakable Stones rhythm and sound we know you love so much!".

Produced by Andrew Watt, who has also worked with Ozzy Osbourne, Paul McCartney and Pearl Jam, “Foreign Tongues” is the twenty-fifth studio album in the Rolling Stones' British discography. Released three years after “Hackney Diamonds“, the record comprises 14 tracks and continues the path set out by the band on their previous, Grammy-winning effort. Critical reception has been largely positive, albeit with some reservations about Watt's production, which a few reviewers judged overly heavy-handed and intrusive.
“Foreign Tongues, Loose Lips” will be available in several formats: a vinyl edition containing the five extra tracks, paired with a CD of the original album; a deluxe double-CD version, with the 14 tracks of “Foreign Tongues” on the first disc and the five additional recordings on the second; as well as the usual digital editions.
