Roger Waters has announced a new project dedicated to the golden age of Pink Floyd, but this time he'll be staying behind the scenes. “Roger Waters Presents LEGACY – A Pink Floyd Show” will kick off in 2027 with a lengthy 56-date North American tour, with musical direction entrusted to his son Harry Waters and a setlist built around the songs that defined the British band's 1971-1979 era. A European and UK tour is expected to be announced at a later date.
After an open casting call that drew roughly 3,000 applications, father and son have also chosen the voice tasked with taking on one of the most daunting legacies in rock: Clifton David Broadbridge, a Canadian-born singer now based in Nashville. Broadbridge landed the role after a live audition with Harry Waters, held during a break in the recent “Claypool Gold Tour”. The search had been announced last April, when Roger Waters explained that his son had already assembled a band and put together a show meant to pay tribute to the music of Pink Floyd's classic era, with the possibility of also including a few songs from his subsequent solo career. One key element was still missing, though: “The voice I had when I was young”.
“LEGACY” will be a production running over two hours, built mainly around four pivotal albums: “The Dark Side Of The Moon“, “Wish You Were Here“, “Animals” and “The Wall“. The stated aim is to recreate the original recordings as faithfully as possible, pairing the music with a visual production conceived by Roger Waters' own team. Across high-definition LED screens will unfold a visual retrospective inspired by the Pink Floyd universe, also incorporating material devised by Waters himself back when he played a decisive role in shaping the band's creative direction.
“These songs have meant so much to so many people for so many years,” Roger Waters explained. “I'm glad audiences can come together again to hear them live. Harry has put together an extraordinary band, and I can't wait for fans around the world to experience the special show we've created together.”

Harry Waters, who has played in his father's touring band for over fifteen years, will front the lineup on Hammond B3 organ, piano and vocals. “I fell in love with this music instantly,” he recalled. “It had a huge impact on me, regardless of the fact that it was my father's music. I still love it deeply. Working with him on this new production is an honour.”
The band will be a ten-piece: Harry Waters, Clifton David Broadbridge on lead vocals, Graham Broad on drums, Edo Scordo and Antonello Pudva on guitars, Eva Avila and Genevieve Little on backing vocals, Dahniel Knight on bass and backing vocals, Ryan Saranich on sax, percussion, guitar and keyboards, and Matt Riddle on keyboards.
Roger Waters, then, won't be taking to the stage: his role will be that of creative mastermind and supervisor of the show. The North American tour will be split into two legs: the first will open on 15 February in Columbus, Georgia, and wrap up on 2 May in Wilmington, North Carolina; the second will launch on 31 August in Vancouver and close on 25 September in St. Louis.
