Two Italian musicians enter the orbit of Roger Waters for the new project the English musician has dedicated to the golden age of Pink Floyd. They are Edo Scordo, a guitarist from Milan, and Antonello Pudva, a guitarist and bassist from La Spezia: both will be part of the lineup for "Roger Waters Presents LEGACY – A Pink Floyd Show", the production conceived and supervised by the British band's former bassist and placed under the musical direction of his son Harry Waters.
From tribute bands to Waters's court
For the two Italians, this marks the culmination of a path built entirely around the music of Pink Floyd. Scordo and Pudva both boast long experience in tribute bands devoted to the group, including Brit Floyd, and will now tackle that same repertoire within a production directly tied to Roger Waters. It's a particularly demanding challenge for two guitarists inevitably called upon to take on the parts of David Gilmour, whom both regard as a fundamental reference point.
Scordo came to the project through Harry Waters, who had already brought him into the Brit Floyd universe. Pudva's path, meanwhile, ran through a network of musicians tied to Floyd history, including drummer Graham Broad and backing vocalist Durga McBroom. Both will now join a ten-piece lineup tasked with taking one of the most celebrated repertoires in rock history out on tour.
The "Legacy" project
"LEGACY" will be a show of over two hours built mainly around four crucial Pink Floyd albums: "The Dark Side Of The Moon", "Wish You Were Here", "Animals" and "The Wall". The heart of the setlist will thus be the era in which Waters played an increasingly decisive role in the band's songwriting and conceptual direction, with particular focus on the years between 1971 and 1979, and the possibility of including a few tracks from his later solo career.
The stated goal is to recreate the original recordings as faithfully as possible, accompanying the music with an imposing visual apparatus designed by Waters's own team. High-definition LED screens will display imagery inspired by the Pink Floyd universe, including material drawing on the ideas Waters himself developed during the years he played a decisive role in shaping the band's visual and conceptual identity. "These songs have meant so much to so many people for so many years," Roger Waters explained. "I'm happy that audiences can come together again to hear them live. Harry has put together an extraordinary band, and I can't wait for fans all over the world to experience the special show we've created together."
Roger Waters, however, will not be taking the stage. His will be a role as creator and creative supervisor, while musical direction of this new Floydian cover band, so to speak, will fall to Harry Waters, who spent over fifteen years touring alongside his father and who, in "LEGACY", will also play Hammond B3 organ, piano and sing. "I fell in love with this music immediately," Harry Waters recalled. "It had an enormous impact on me, regardless of the fact that it was my father's music. I still love it deeply. Working with him on this new production is an honour."
Alongside Harry Waters and the two Italians Edo Scordo and Antonello Pudva will be Clifton David Broadbridge on lead vocals, Graham Broad on drums, Eva Avila and Genevieve Little on backing vocals, Dahniel Knight on bass and backing vocals, Ryan Saranich on sax, percussion, guitar and keyboards, and Matt Riddle on keyboards.
Broadbridge, a Canadian singer now based in Nashville, was chosen after an open casting call that drew around 3,000 applications. Roger Waters had explained that his son had already assembled the band and shaped the show, but that one essential element was still missing: "The voice I had when I was young." Broadbridge landed the spot after a live audition with Harry Waters held during a break in the recent "Claypool Gold Tour".
The project's debut is set for 15 February 2027 in Columbus, Georgia. The first leg of the North American tour will run through to 2 May in Wilmington, North Carolina; after a summer break, "LEGACY" will resume on 31 August in Vancouver before wrapping up on 25 September in St. Louis. No European dates have been confirmed for now, but a tour of the UK and the rest of Europe is expected to be announced at a later stage.
