Phoebe Bridgers returns to perform with Boygenius: watch the new performance in New York

14-10-2026

Phoebe Bridgers is back performing alongside Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus, her partners in Boygenius, for an acoustic session directed by filmmaker Lance Oppenheim. The video is part of “Sound Check At Cherry Lane Theatre,” A24's series that brings musicians and filmmakers together through short performances in an intimate setting. Watch their performance below.

The set features three songs and opens with “On Video,” recorded by Bridgers for the soundtrack of “Primetime,” the film that marks her debut in a major film role, alongside Robert Pattinson. Accompanying her on piano is Ethan Gruska, her longtime collaborator. Baker and Dacus then join in for “Haunted” and “Lost Boys,” filling out the stripped-down arrangements with the vocal harmonies that define the trio.
The session comes shortly after another surprise reunion: in late September, during a Bridgers show in New York, the three musicians also performed “Not Strong Enough” and “Powers” together. No footage of that appearance has surfaced, due to the smartphone ban the singer-songwriter has enforced for her “Lost Tour.”

The tour is in support of “Lost Weekend“, Bridgers' first solo album since 2020's “Punisher”, to which Baker and Dacus also contributed. Boygenius, meanwhile, have been on hiatus since releasing “The Record” in 2023: these new shared performances confirm the bond between the three artists, though no official return of the group has been announced.
