CSI: Marzabotto and Spello dates already sold out, a second date added in Monte Sole

26-01-2026

The new live journey of C.S.I. – Consorzio Suonatori Indipendenti has kicked off under the sign of sold-out shows. The first two dates of "In viaggio", set for August 28 at Monte Sole–Marzabotto and September 4 at Spello, have both sold out, confirming the anticipation surrounding the return to the stage of the historic outfit. It's precisely at Monte Sole, a place of strong symbolic value in the band's history, that a second special date has been added: on August 29 at 7pm, a sunset concert conceived as an exclusive encore to the opening show. "In viaggio" marks the live return of Giovanni Lindo Ferretti, Massimo Zamboni, Gianni Maroccolo, Ginevra Di Marco, Francesco Magnelli and Giorgio Canali, and represents one of the most significant reunions on the contemporary Italian cultural scene.

The project

The project isn't limited to the live dimension. Alongside the tour, a film directed by Davide Ferrario and produced by Damocle — the independent production company founded by Valerio Mastandrea and Francesco Tatò — is also in the works. A visual extension that reinforces the artistic and symbolic significance of the operation, conceived not as a mere resumption of live activity but as an articulated creative gesture.

At the same time, "C.S.I. Mongolia" is also taking shape, an international project that brings the band back — both ideally and physically — to the places that inspired "Tabula rasa elettrificata". The first event is set for July 4, 2026, with "C.S.I. preludio: Ferretti/Zamboni" at the PlayTime Festival, while the full C.S.I. concert in Mongolia is planned for 2027.

Tickets

Meanwhile, ticket sales for the other tour dates, produced and organized by Otr live, continue at a brisk pace. After the sold-out show on August 28 in Marzabotto, the calendar includes: August 29 Marzabotto (7pm, new date), August 31 Villafranca, September 2 Fasano, September 8 Alba and September 12 Catania. Presales are active on Ticketone and at the usual outlets.

The anniversary

The reunion arrives on the thirtieth anniversary of the landmark album “Gothic Line“, released in 1996 following their debut with “Ko del mondo”. A symbolic anniversary for one of the most influential bands of the Italian rock scene of the Nineties. But the event also comes after the return of Cccp – Fedeli alla linea, the band featuring Giovanni Lindo Ferretti and Massimo Zamboni, who wrapped up their “last call” with a tour following their 2023/2024 reunion. Memorable shows, including their final date in Taormina this past July 30th.

Fans had hoped for a C.S.I. reunion from the start, and rumors grew more persistent when, in October, Gianni Maroccolo posted on Instagram a photo alongside his now-reunited former bandmates.

Talk of a reunion had already been fueled by Giovanni Lindo Ferretti, who some time ago, on stage at the “Degustare Books” festival in Rubiera (Reggio Emilia), told Andrea Scanzi: “The reunion is in the air.” Since then, small clues and crossed appearances have kept the curiosity alive, reinforcing the sense that something was really happening.

The Consorzio

C.S.I. was born in 1990 from the meeting between Ferretti and Massimo Zamboni — the "Emilian core" of CCCP — and the group of Tuscan musicians who had just left Litfiba: Gianni Maroccolo, Francesco Magnelli and Giorgio Canali. Ginevra Di Marco joined them, initially as a backing vocalist. The name, "Consorzio Suonatori Indipendenti" (Independent Players' Consortium), ironically echoed the Commonwealth of Independent States formed after the dissolution of the USSR, just as "CCCP" had already evoked the acronym for the Soviet Union.

During the press conference for CCCP's farewell tour last April, Annarella Giudici chose not to comment on rumors of a possible C.S.I. reunion, saying only that "it wasn't the time to talk about it". A response that today looks more like caution than an outright denial.
