CSI: tour wrapped, Ferretti and Zamboni release two new projects on the same day

17-09-2026

The new "journey" of CSI has just come to an end: the band reunited on stage after twenty-five years and, in recent weeks, played a series of reunion shows that culminated on September 12 at Villa Bellini, in Catania, with the tour's final date. But for Massimo Zamboni and Giovanni Lindo Ferretti, paths that had just come back together are already splitting again. Or perhaps simply running in parallel: on October 9, 2026, Zamboni's "La macchia mongolica" and Ferretti's "Percuotendo, in cadenza" will both be released on the same day, two standalone works that bring their respective artistic trajectories back into focus.

"La macchia mongolica" returns in a new edition available on CD, LP and digital, with completely redesigned artwork and graphics. This new version will also be rounded out by the addition of the track "Forme perfette". Joining Massimo Zamboni on the recordings were Cristiano Roversi and Simone Beneventi.

"Percuotendo, in cadenza", meanwhile, documents the theatrical show of the same name that Giovanni Lindo Ferretti brought to stages across Italy. The recording is now being released as a double CD, double LP and digitally, transferring onto record a project that was born and developed in a live setting.

Two different releases, then, that on October 9 will simultaneously bring Zamboni's and Ferretti's paths back into the spotlight - still running in parallel, and still capable of meeting without necessarily overlapping.
