Afterhours: a 2027 tour to celebrate 25 years of “Quello che non c’è”. Here are all the dates

15-09-2026

Afterhours will return live in 2027 with a tour that weaves together two important anniversaries in their history. "Quello che non c'è – Tour 2027" will celebrate forty years since the band's first single, "My Bit Boy", released in 1987, and twenty-five years of "Quello che non c'è", one of the most significant albums in their discography, released in 2002. The public's response to the announcement was immediate, prompting the band to add new dates in Nonantola, Rome and Milan. The tour will kick off in January with a series of European shows, before continuing through Italy between January and February and wrapping up symbolically in Milan, the city where the story of Afterhours began.

At the heart of the project will be "Quello che non c'è", an album that arrived after two pivotal chapters, "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" and "Non è per sempre", and which definitively cemented the role of the band led by Manuel Agnelli among the key players in Italian alternative rock. Compared to their previous work, the album also marked a more explicit stance toward contemporary reality: less room for irony and a more direct look at individual and collective anxieties, disillusionment and tensions.
Twenty-five years on, many of the themes running through the nine tracks retain their full force: disenchantment, existential unease and a fraught relationship with the present still make "Quello che non c'è" a pivotal work in the history of Afterhours and, more broadly, one of the essential albums of early-2000s Italian rock.

Bringing it back to the stage will be a line-up featuring several key figures from crucial chapters in the band's history: Manuel Agnelli on vocals and guitar, Andrea Viti on bass, Dario Ciffo on violin and guitar, Giorgio Prette on drums and Giacomo Rossetti as multi-instrumentalist. It's a line-up that bridges past and present without turning the tour into a mere nostalgia trip. Agnelli, for that matter, has repeatedly distanced himself from the idea of purely celebratory reunions, insisting that bringing this material back to the stage should only happen when there's a genuine artistic urgency behind it. "Quello che non c'è – Tour 2027" thus becomes an opportunity to revisit forty years of Afterhours' history through one of their most representative works, restoring live the sonic and expressive tension that has made the Milanese band one of the most influential names in Italian alternative rock.
