Mancava solo la ristampa, a distanza di soli quattro anni, di una collaborazione come al solito di contenuto minimo (una di quelle cassettine o vinili che si vendono in tour e che compaiono solo nelle collezioni dei supernerd o nei cestoni delle occasioni) perché l’incessante produzione Segall-ifera non subisse un inaudito arresto.

Mikal e Ty sono amici e compari musicisti praticamente da sempre; ma “Reverse Shark Attack”, visto a posteriori, sembra piuttosto sancire la loro separazione, più che la loro intesa.

Sotto ondate di fuzz e incoscienti movimenti di strumenti e capelli, si agita l’orrido pastiche ormonale che sembra poltiglia pulsante e deteriorata. Gli otto pezzi si susseguono come il gioco di due bambini intenti alla metodica distruzione di un pezzo di mondo, in slanci ciechi e mostruosi.

Per fortuna, a un certo punto arrivano i Beatles ectoplasmici della title track, la più Cronin-iana del disco; sempre una bestia mutante, ma provvista di intelligenza: dieci minuti in cui si passa dal garage, alla ballata psichedelica, e si finisce a ballare con Uma Thurman dopo una tirata di cocaina. Da sola, vale tutto il disco.
