The Cure: setlist, photos and videos from the Firenze Rocks show

15-06-2026

Two hours and twenty minutes of classics, rarities and new songs: the Cure cast their spell on Florence. Over 40,000 people welcomed Robert Smith and co. at the Visarno Arena for their first Italian concert since 2022, closing out the Firenze Rocks festival. The English band delivered a show lasting more than two hours, mixing the great classics of their catalogue with a handful of rarities and tracks from their latest album "Songs Of A Lost World", confirming they remain in remarkably good shape.

The show opened with “Alone”, immediately followed by some of the evening's most beloved moments such as “Pictures Of You”, “High”, “A Night Like This” and “Lovesong”. Smith greeted the crowd in Italian with a simple “Grazie infinite. Eccoci di nuovo qui” ("Thank you so much. Here we are again"), before leaving the stage almost entirely to the music.
The middle section of the concert showcased the full breadth of the band's catalogue, bringing back rarely played tracks like “Secrets” and “Treasure” alongside classics such as “Just Like Heaven”. Among the surprises was “A Fragile Thing”, performed for the first time on the current summer tour and greeted with enthusiasm by fans.

In the closing stretch, the emotional intensity built with "Burn", "Push", "In Between Days", "Play For Today" and above all "A Forest", one of the most intense moments of the entire show. Before the main set drew to a close, the band also played "From The Edge Of The Deep Green Sea" and "Endsong".
During the encore, Smith joked with the crowd once again: "Purtroppo non so ancora parlare italiano" ["Unfortunately I still can't speak Italian"], adding that the line would never get old. From that moment the concert's mood shifted, making room for the band's more popular, festive side with "Lullaby", "The Walk", "Let's Go To Bed", "Mint Car", "Friday I'm In Love", "The Lovecats", "Close To Me" and "Why Can't I Be You?".
The night closed with the inevitable "Boys Don't Cry", sung in unison by the whole of the Visarno Arena. A concert able to span more than forty years of career while keeping intact the delicate balance of melancholy, energy and sense of belonging that has always defined the Cure's music.
