Queens Of The Stone Age: Josh Homme pays tribute to Bowie on TV (video) and announces tour with Pixies

23-10-2026

A red jacket and a white T-shirt to pay tribute to David Bowie. This is how Josh Homme showed up on the stage of "Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon", where on Wednesday, October 21, Queens Of The Stone Age performed "Where The Goth Girls At?", the single from their new album "Perfecth", out October 30. The frontman's look echoed the one Bowie wore during his own appearance on the same show in 1980: an outfit that, in turn, paid homage to James Dean in "Rebel Without a Cause". The band delivered a tight, punchy version of the track, which had already drawn attention when the tracklist was announced, even before its release as a single.

Meanwhile, after wrapping up their September stadium tour with Foo Fighters, Queens Of The Stone Age have announced a new North American tour for spring 2027. They'll be joined by Pixies, as main support on all dates, and Wheelchair Sports Camp, an experimental rap outfit from Denver.
The tour will kick off on May 1 at the Viejas Arena in San Diego and wrap up on May 24 at Boston's TD Garden. Also on the schedule are the Kia Forum in Inglewood, arenas in Oakland, Seattle and Detroit, and the Red Rocks amphitheater in Morrison.
Before the tour with Pixies, the band will play in Iceland with the Virgin Orchestra, then head to Japan, Singapore and Hong Kong, where they'll share the Clockenflap bill with Interpol. December will see them in Australia and New Zealand, with Primus and Tropical Fuck Storm. In March 2027 they'll follow up with a show in Mexico City, again alongside Interpol, plus appearances at the Lollapalooza festivals in Argentina, Chile and Brazil.
