A decidedly important year, 2025, for Lucio Corsi: his breakthrough at Sanremo with the irresistible “Volevo essere un duro” (second place overall, the “Mia Martini” Critics' Award, and fifth place at the Eurovision Song Contest) and the release of his fourth studio album have crowned his rise, confirming him as one of the most eccentric, lucid and personal voices in Italian glam songwriting.
Today the Tuscan artist makes himself heard again, announcing the release of his new single “Napoleone Buonanotte”, out Friday 30 October on Sugar Music. Written and produced by Corsi himself together with his inseparable collaborator Tommaso Ottomano, the track — already previewed as a surprise during a closed-door show in Milan — continues his exploration of the narrative chiaroscuro so dear to the songwriter. Amid learned references, everyday surrealism and disenchanted irony, the lyrics trace the apathy and listlessness of daily life experienced by its protagonist, interrupted by a sudden encounter with a girl.
The single will pave the way for the songwriter's trial by fire: Lucio Corsi – Palasport 2026. Produced by Magellano Concerts, the mini-tour will mark the artist's debut in Italy's major arena venues. For the occasion, the band's usual live lineup will be expanded with backing vocals, percussion and a horn section, retracing his entire discography, from his early fairy-tale visions to the tracks from his latest album.
Particularly symbolic is the opening date: the Nelson Mandela Forum in Florence. It was there, in 2008, that a very young Corsi attended a Neil Young concert that would instill in him a love for the electric guitar; eighteen years later, the Tuscan musician will take the stage there himself as the headliner.
Below is the full schedule of dates:
Tickets are available through the usual pre-sale circuits and on the Magellano Concerts website. Corsi is currently in the studio working on new material for his next full-length effort.
