May Day Concert: the running order and full lineup of the show in Piazza San Giovanni, Rome

01-05-2026

The May Day Concert returns to Piazza San Giovanni on Workers' Day, once again taking the form of a long live broadcast on Rai3. The show will kick off at 3:15pm, pause at 7pm for the evening edition of the Tg3 news, then resume at 8pm and run until just after midnight. Hosting duties go to Arisa, Pierpaolo Spollon and BigMama.

The 2026 edition of Rome's May Day Concert, promoted by Cgil, Cisl and Uil and organized by iCompany, is built around the theme "Decent work: bargaining, new protections and new rights for an Italy changing in the age of artificial intelligence."

Opening the long TV marathon will be Paolo Belli, backed by his band. Earlier, starting from 1pm, several emerging artists will take the stage – Henna, Jeson Lil Jokie, Svegliaginevra, Tigri da Soggiorno and Wepro – whose performances won't be part of the TV broadcast. Joining them will be the winners of the 1MNEXT contest, Bambina, Cainero and Cristiana Verardo.

After the opening, the stage will host a wide and diverse lineup taking turns. Below is the running order of the artists on the bill.

There's particular curiosity around the historic reunion of Litfiba, who will return to perform in their classic 80s lineup, celebrating the 40th anniversary of "17 Re" as part of an operation that has led to the release of the previously unreleased title track from that album, and which will see them on tour this summer.

The marathon will close, after midnight, with the Orchestra Popolare La Notte della Taranta.
