The final leg of the tour will take place in the UK, with shows in Liverpool, Manchester, Glasgow, Leeds, Birmingham and London.

The new album “Dopamine Chamber”

The tour will kick off just days after the release of “Dopamine Chamber”, Fontaines D.C.'s fifth studio album, out October 16 via XL Recordings. Produced by James Ford, the record builds on the legacy of “Romance”, released in 2024, pushing the band's sonic evolution even further. The group is made up of Grian Chatten, Carlos O’Connell, Conor Curley, Conor Deegan and Tom Coll.
Recorded between London, the English countryside and Palermo, where Chatten laid down his vocal parts in a makeshift booth built from mattresses and pillows, “Dopamine Chamber” is being billed as one of the most radical turns in the band's history. It was previewed by the single “Marianne”, which finds Fontaines D.C. drifting even further from the guitar-driven sound of their early days and moving toward layered, seductive atmospheres.

Produced by James Ford, “Dopamine Chamber” was recorded between London, the English countryside and Palermo. It was in the Sicilian city that Grian Chatten recorded his vocal parts inside a makeshift booth built out of mattresses and pillows. To write the lyrics, the singer also spent long stretches of time between Venice, Vienna and Sicily, chasing a dimension increasingly removed from the geographical and musical coordinates that had defined the band's early records.
While “Dogrel“, “A Hero’s Death” and “Skinty Fia” were still deeply tied, in different ways, to Dublin and Irish identity, and “Romance” had opened up the Dublin band's sound toward broader, more spectacular territory, “Dopamine Chamber” appears to push this transformation even further. The new songs move toward colder, more synthetic and disorienting sounds, with synthesizers, martial drums, samples and triggers, tracks that are sometimes completely devoid of guitars, and string arrangements inspired by Italian pop of the Sixties but transposed into a futuristic dimension.

Before the tour begins, Fontaines D.C. will play some of the UK and Ireland's major festivals, including Reading, Leeds and Electric Picnic.
