Da Flying Lotus ai Fontaines D.C., da Geordie Greep (Black Midi) ad Amyl And The Sniffers

Flying Lotus – “Garmonbozia”

Steven Ellison aka Flying Lotus has released the new single “Garmonbozia” via Warp Records. It's the Los Angeles musician's first solo release since 2022, when he collaborated last year with New York rapper Smoke DZA on the album “Flying Objects”. The track “Garmonbozia” references the imaginary cream-based food from Twin Peaks by David Lynch, which the spirits of the Black Lodge feed on as a physical manifestation of pain and suffering. Listen to it below:

Fontaines D.C. – “In The Modern World”

A few days ahead of the release of their new album “Romance”, out Friday 23 August, Fontaines Dc have released the fourth single taken from it, titled “In The Modern World”. Frontman Grian Chatten wrote the lyrics during a brief and absurd 10-day stretch spent alone in Los Angeles. Watch the video for the track below:

Amyl And The Sniffers – “Chewing Gum”

Australian band Amyl And The Sniffers have announced their third studio album “Cartoon Darkness”, the follow-up to “Comfort To Me” from 2021. The album will be out on 25 October via B2B Records/Virgin Music Group and features the single “U Should Not Be Doing That”, released in May, plus the brand-new track “Chewing Gum”, which you can listen to below:

Geordie Greep – “Holy, Holy”

Former Black Midi guitarist and singer Geordie Greep has announced his debut solo album “The New Sound”, due out on 4 October, and has released the first single, titled “Holy, Holy”, an album that let him explore new creative ideas like never before: “Recording this album was the first time I didn't have anyone to answer to. And with every impulse I had, I was able to follow it all the way through to its conclusion. Being in a band, you often get this feeling that you can do anything, but you're also a bit limited in that approach, and sometimes it's good to do something else, to let things go”.
