CSI: Ferretti and Zamboni return to Mongolia, live in concert in July

17-06-2026

CSI – Consorzio Suonatori Indipendenti are launching the international project “CSI Mongolia,” a journey that will accompany the band through to 2027 and that will kick off on July 4th with the participation of Giovanni Lindo Ferretti and Massimo Zamboni at the Playtime Festival, one of Asia's leading music events.
The choice of Mongolia is no coincidence: it was precisely those landscapes that, back in the Nineties, inspired the creation of “Tabula Rasa Elettrificata,” one of the band's most representative works. Ferretti and Zamboni will thus return to the places that helped shape that artistic imagery, in an event that will also mark the start of filming for a documentary dedicated to the project, produced by Damocle and directed by Davide Ferrario.

Joining them on stage will be LOSTATOBRADO, a Bologna-based experimental electronic collective made up of Alessio Vanni, Lorenzo Valdesalici and Lorenzo Marra, who have created new arrangements of the CSI repertoire for the occasion.
The July 4th date marks the first stop of a program set to unfold over two years, culminating in 2027 with a CSI concert in Ulaanbaatar, conceived as the symbolic closing event of the entire project.
“CSI Mongolia” was born from an initiative by Mad.e, active in the renewable energy and sustainability sector through the Progetto Sound, in collaboration with the Associazione TriploSound and the Playtime Festival, with support from ATER Fondazione. Thanks to the support of the Italian Cultural Institute in Beijing, the artists will also perform in the institute's auditorium in the Chinese capital.

Meanwhile, preparations continue for CSI's upcoming Italian tour, which will see Simone Filippi on drums. LOSTATOBRADO will open every date of the tour, with the sole exception of the first of the two shows scheduled in Marzabotto.
Following the sold-out show on August 28th in Marzabotto, the schedule includes: August 29th Marzabotto (7pm, new date), August 31st Villafranca, September 2nd Fasano, September 8th Alba and September 12th Catania.
