Elodie

Elodie Di Patrizi, known simply as Elodie, is an Italian singer and actress, born on May 3, 1990 in Rome. Among her wide-ranging musical influences, Elodie cites Etta James, Nina Simone, Carmen McRae, Miley Cyrus, Raf, Kaytranada, Giorgia, Lucio Battisti and Mina.

Over the course of her career, Elodie has released four studio albums and earned numerous certifications from Fimi, as well as two Mtv Europe Music Awards nominations. In 2022 she also made her film debut, starring in the lead role in “Ti mangio il cuore,” a performance that earned her the 2022 Ciak d'oro for best newcomer. In 2023 the Italian edition of Forbes included her among the hundred most successful women in Italy.

Elodie first came to public attention in 2015, when she joined Maria De Filippi's talent show “Amici,” immediately winning over audiences with the power of her voice and her mix of energy and fragility, going on to finish in second place.

On May 20, 2016 she released her debut EP, “Un'altra vita,” produced by Emma and Luca Mattioni and certified gold by FIMI/GfK Italy. The record featured eight previously unreleased tracks, including the title track written by Fabrizio Moro and “Amore avrai,” penned by Emma, Luca Mattioni and Mario Cianchi. That same year she performed at Loredana Bertè's concert in Castiglione della Pescaia as part of the Amiche sì Tour 2016, and in September she opened for Emma's Adesso Tour.

In 2017 Elodie competed for the first time at the Sanremo Festival with the song “Tutta colpa mia,” included on the album of the same name.

In May 2018 she released the new single “Nero Bali,” featuring Michele Bravi and Guè Pequeno, followed in October by the single “Rambla” in collaboration with Ghemon. More hits followed through further collaborations and features: the single “Margarita,” produced by Takagi & Ketra as a duet with Marracash; a meeting with Lazza and Tedua on a brand-new piano-and-voice version of the track “Catrame”; and the new version of “Le ragazze di Porta Venezia” with Myss Keta.

In 2020 she returned to the Sanremo Festival with the song “Andromeda,” written by Mahmood and Dardust, finishing sixth. That same year she released her third studio album, “This is Elodie,” which included the tracks “Non è la fine” (a duet with Gemitaiz) and “Mal di testa” featuring Fabri Fibra. In October she also teamed up with Carl Brave for the single “Parli parli.”

The following year Elodie returned to the Sanremo stage alongside Amadeus and Fiorello as co-host for one night of the show, in addition to performing a mix of songs from her own catalogue and popular Italian hits. That same year she took part in the second season of “Celebrity Hunted: Caccia all'uomo” on Prime Video, winning alongside Myss Keta.

Also in 2021 Elodie released the single “Vertigine,” followed by “La coda del diavolo,” a duet with Rkomi that reached number one on the charts.

Then, in 2023, she returned once again to the Sanremo Festival with the song “Due,” later included on her fourth studio album, “Ok. Respira,” alongside “Proiettili (ti mangio il cuore),” the lead track from the soundtrack of the film “Ti mangio il cuore,” directed by Pippo Mezzapesa, which went on to win the David di Donatello for best original song. The album comprises thirteen tracks, eleven of which were written by the Roman singer herself, with songwriting contributions from Elisa Toffoli, Federica Abbate, Joan Thiele, Mahmood and Davide Petrella, and production by Francesco "Katoo" Cattiti, Dardust, Drillionaire, Itaca and Zef.

At the end of 2023, Elodie surprised fans by releasing a clubtape titled “Red Light,” its cover bearing an erotic illustration of her by Milo Manara.

Two years later, a comeback full of light and shadow with "Mi ami mi odi".

Over the years, the Roman singer has made her mark not just with her raspy voice and hit singles, but with her personality and unmistakable style, becoming an icon for Gen Z.
