Fabri Fibra

Fabrizio “Fabri Fibra” Tarducci is a rapper born in 1976 in Senigallia who has repeatedly played a leading role in the evolution of hip-hop in Italy. Initially known as Fabri Fil, he was already active in 1994 with the project Uomini di mare, alongside rapper Lato, with whom he released the hallucinatory "Sindrome di fine millennio" in 1999. Having evolved into Qustodi del tempo after the arrival of Shezan Il Ragio, the trio never got beyond a handful of demos, and Fabrizio Tarducci, under his new stage name, began his solo career.

In 2002 came his debut "Turbe giovanili", produced almost entirely by Neffa in a kind of passing of the torch. On the album, which also features his younger brother Nesli, Fabri Fibra inaugurates a tormented, introspective approach to rap, driven by razor-sharp technique. With his second record "Mr. Simpatia" (2004), a concentrate of explicit, aggressive stories told in a brand-new language, his popularity grows and critical regard rises with it. Buoyed by this success, he moves to major label Universal and releases the album that brings him to a wider audience, the double-platinum "Tradimento" (2006), which spawns his first major radio hit, "Applausi per Fibra".

With the following "Bugiardo" (2007, featuring the hit single "In Italy" feat. Gianna Nannini) and "Who wants to be Fabri Fibra?" (2009, with the single "Incomprensioni" feat. Tiromancino), he consolidates his status as a mainstream rapper, to the point that his sixth album "Controcultura" (2010), another double-platinum release, is even preceded by a docu-fiction. It's the album with which he brings hip-house into the mainstream for his wide audience, above all with the triple-platinum "Tranne te" and its remixes. The seventh album "Guerra e pace" (2013), inspired by neorealism, and the eighth, "Squallor" (2015), fill out years also marked by guest features on other artists' tracks, often turning into hits, while with the double-platinum "Fenomeno" (2017, with 3 multi-platinum singles) and the compilation "Il tempo vola 2002-2020", the rapper crowns a period of major commercial success, hit singles and numerous guest features praised at times by the public, at times by critics, and often by both. He returns to solo album work only in 2022 with "Caos".
