Miley Cyrus

Miley Ray Cyrus (born November 23, 1992 in Franklin, Tennessee) is an American actress, singer and model, daughter of famous country singer-songwriter Billy Ray Cyrus and Leticia Finley. Raised on a farm in Tennessee, she began acting at a young age in shows such as "Doc" (2001-03). Two years after her television debut, Miley made her big-screen debut playing Ruthie in Tim Burton's Big Fish (2003). She then rose to fame playing pop star Hannah Montana in the eponymous Disney Channel series (2006-11). The show's success turned Miley into a teen idol, leading to appearances in numerous Disney films and other series.

Thanks to the show's success, Cyrus quickly established herself as a singer, making her debut in 2008 with "Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus". The album, which marked the end of the Hannah Montana chapter, featured the show's most popular songs alongside a handful of new tracks bearing Miley's own personal stamp. That same year she released "Breakout", a twelve-track album that included the hits "See You Again" and "7 Things".

Cyrus then released the EP "The Time Of Our Lives" (2009), which topped the charts and entered the Billboard 200. The EP included major hits such as "Party In The Usa" and "When I Look At You". A year later she returned with "Can't Be Tamed", a thirteen-track album that broke into the top 10 in 15 countries. The album featured the singles "Who Owns My Heart" and "Can't Be Tamed", the latter reaching number 8 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Three years later, she released the bestselling Bangerz, featuring collaborations with Big Sean, French Montana and Britney Spears on tracks like "Love Money Party", "FU" and "SMS (Bangerz)". The tracklist also included the famous "Wrecking Ball", whose music video sparked considerable controversy.
In 2015, she released the online-only album Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz, which included tracks such as "Dooo It!" and "BB Talk", along with collaborations like "Tangerine" with Big Sean and "Tiger Dreams" with Ariel Pink.
Two years later came Younger Now (2017), a country-pop-leaning effort produced by Oren Yoel. On the album, Cyrus co-wrote most of the songs, largely inspired by her reconciliation with ex-partner Liam Hemsworth. Among its biggest hits were "Week Without You", "Inspired" and "Malibu".

In May 2019, she surprised fans with the release of She Is Coming, a six-track EP that included the singles "D.R.E.A.M." and "Mother's Daughter". A year later came her new full-length effort, Plastic Hearts, her most cohesive work, showcasing a tougher, more aggressive rock sound.
Then, in 2023, she returned with the album Endless Summer Vacation, driven to success by the funk-pop single "Flowers", which topped the charts in more than thirty countries worldwide and broke several streaming records.

The 2025 album, Something Beautiful, lives up to its promise, delivering the most accomplished work yet from the ambitious American pop star. Less convincing is the follow-up Bass Persuades (2026), released just a year later.
