Rkomi, stage name of Mirko Manuele Martorana, is an Italian singer-songwriter and rapper born in Milan in 1994. Raised in the working-class neighborhood of Calvairate, he taught himself music after a turbulent period marked by dropping out of school and taking odd jobs. He began releasing his first projects in the second half of the 2010s, standing out on the Milanese hip hop scene for a style that blends introspection, evocative imagery and literary influences.
After his debut mixtape and the EP “Dasein Sollen” (2016), he released his first official album “Io in terra” (2017), which won a solid response from both audiences and critics. It was followed by “Dove gli occhi non arrivano” (2019), which broadened his profile on the Italian music scene. The turning point came with “Taxi Driver” (2021), a project that incorporated pop and rock elements, establishing him as a versatile artist.
In 2022 he took part in the Sanremo Festival for the first time. He returned in 2025 for a second appearance, with the album “Decrescendo”, a more mature and personal work.
