U2 have released the video for “Yours Eternally”, a track included on the Ep “Days Of Ash“, released last week. It's a four-and-a-half-minute short documentary directed by Ukrainian filmmaker and cinematographer Ilya Mikhaylus. The video arrives on the fourth anniversary of Russia's invasion of Ukraine and serves as a precursor to a more wide-ranging documentary expected by the end of the year.
Filmed in December 2025, while Mikhaylus and his crew were embedded with the 40,000 soldiers of the Khartiya Corps, the film follows the daily lives of Alina and her fellow soldiers on the front line in the Kharkiv region, offering a direct look at life at the front.
In “Yours Eternally” Bono and The Edge share vocal duties with Ukrainian musician-turned-soldier Taras Topolia and with Ed Sheeran.

In the spring of 2022, after the invasion began, Bono and The Edge traveled to Kyiv to perform in a metro station at the invitation of President Volodymyr Zelensky. A few days earlier, Sheeran had put Bono in touch with Taras Topolia and his band, Antytila. The meeting between Bono, The Edge and Topolia took place right there on that underground platform; a friendship was born from it, one that has now taken shape in this collaboration.
Topolia is the direct inspiration behind “Yours Eternally”, conceived as a letter written by a soldier on active duty, with an energetic, determined tone that reflects the Ukrainian spirit of resistance.
“For four years, Ukraine has withstood a full-scale Russian invasion, and the soldiers of the Khartiya Corps are among the hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians defending their homeland. In this short film, and in the full-length documentary to come, we try to show the beating heart of these incredible men and women, the struggles and sacrifices they make every day for the most sacred thing on this planet: freedom”, Mikhaylus said in a statement.
