2026 Targhe Tenco: Caparezza and Carmen Consoli win

The winning works of the 2026 Targhe Tenco were announced today, Thursday 9 July:

Best album overall – Orbit Orbit by Caparezza;
Best album in dialect – Amuri Luci by Carmen Consoli;
Best debut album – Sta registrando audio… by Piji;
Best album by a performer – Avincola canta Carella by Avincola;
Best single song – Quello che deve essere sarà by Emma Nolde;
Best project album – 80 Buon compleanno Ivan (live in Teramo), produced by Filippo Graziani.

A record result in the run-off stage, with 245 voters taking part.
The prestigious Targhe Tenco award has been given out since 1984 to "the best albums of the year" of singer-songwriter music released during the year (for the 2026 Targhe, made available to the public in any form between 1 June 2025 and 31 May 2026).
The works by artists shortlisted for the Targhe are voted on by a large and knowledgeable jury made up of experts, journalists and industry insiders selected by Club Tenco, who cast their votes in the ways and within the timeframe communicated to them by the Association. The Club Tenco board is not part of this jury.

The 2026 Premio Tenco will be held on 22, 23 and 24 October at the Teatro Ariston in Sanremo (Imperia). The festival dedicated to Italy's most prestigious and renowned singer-songwriter tradition, which has now passed the important milestone of 50 years, will once again this year honor one or more artists with the Premio Tenco, awarded by the Club Tenco's board to those who have made a significant contribution to singer-songwriter music worldwide.

The Club Tenco will also award the Premio Tenco for Cultural Operator and the Premio Yorum, established in collaboration with Amnesty International Italy in 2020 to give visibility to artists around the world who, often risking their lives, fight for human rights and freedom of expression.
