The only, historic Rolling Stones concert in Havana, Cuba. Directed by Paul Dugdale, "Rolling Stones: Havana Moon" – which Rai Cultura will air on Saturday 27 June at 11:05 pm on Rai 5 – tells the story of a record-breaking concert.
Filmed at the close of the 2016 "América Latina Olé Tour", the film documents an unprecedented event: a free concert that drew over one million two hundred thousand spectators to Havana, turning the Ciudad Deportiva into a huge open-air arena. On stage, the Rolling Stones in full: Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood.
The setlist runs through the key moments of their repertoire, with classics such as "Jumpin' Jack Flash", "It's Only Rock 'n Roll", "Gimme Shelter", "Brown Sugar" and "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction", capturing the energy of a band capable of speaking to audiences and contexts historically so distant. More than a mere account of a show, "Rolling Stones: Havana Moon" preserves on film the symbolic significance of an evening that marked a cultural and musical turning point for Cuba.

Meanwhile the Rolling Stones have unveiled the details of "Jealous Lover", the second single from their new album "Foreign Tongues", due out on 10 July via Polydor Records. The track will be released on 26 June and follows "In The Stars", accompanied by a video, as well as "Rough And Twisted", initially released under the pseudonym Cockroaches. While "In The Stars" showed a more pop-rock side of the band, "Jealous Lover" brings the group back to its rhythm'n'blues roots, in a track marked by Mick Jagger's falsetto and instantly catchy melodies. Alongside Jagger, the track features Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood on guitars, Darryl Jones on bass and Steve Jordan on drums and percussion. Guests include Steve Winwood, who contributes Rhodes piano and organ, while Andrew Watt and Matt Clifford round out the lineup with additional instrumental parts and arrangements.

"Foreign Tongues" will be released less than three years after "Hackney Diamonds", the album that earned the Rolling Stones a Grammy Award. Recorded at Metropolis Studios in West London, the record was born out of a particularly fertile creative period for the band.
The fourteen tracks feature Jagger, Richards and Wood alongside longtime collaborators Darryl Jones, Matt Clifford and Steve Jordan. Among the most significant elements of the project is also the presence of Charlie Watts, heard in a recording made during one of his last studio sessions before his death in 2021. Announced guests include, besides Steve Winwood, also Paul McCartney, Robert Smith of the Cure and Chad Smith of Red Hot Chili Peppers.

On the touring front, this year's planned tour has been cancelled due to the arthritis problems affecting Keith Richards. Mick Jagger, interviewed on the US programme Sunday Sitdown, hinted however that the band hopes to return to the stage in 2027.
