Kasabian have announced the release of “Act III”, out July 17. It's the ninth studio album from the band led by Serge Pizzorno, preceded by the singles “Hippie Sunshine” and “Great Pretender”.
It's precisely “Great Pretender” that now soundtracks the album's new promotional phase. Pizzorno has explained that the track tackles impostor syndrome, reinterpreted as a creative threshold: the tension right before exposure, that suspended moment before stepping on stage.
“Act III” was recorded between The Sergery and Club Ralph, produced by Pizzorno himself alongside Mark Ralph. The record features thirteen tracks and fits into the band's recent trajectory, increasingly focused on songwriting and live impact.
Kasabian will also be bringing the new material to Italy, with a single show set for July 24 at the Noisy Festival in Naples.
