Jethro Tull: live in Italy for two dates of "The Curiosity Tour"

01-09-2026

Jethro Tull will return to Italy in 2027 with two dates of "The Curiosity Tour", the show with which the band led by Ian Anderson continues to bring their classic repertoire and tracks from the recent album "The Curious Ruminant" to the stage. The band will play on February 23 at the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa and on February 25 at the Gran Teatro Geox in Padua. Tickets will be available from 12pm on September 3 at www.virusconcerti.com.

Released in 2025, "The Curious Ruminant" collects nine new tracks, ranging in length from two and a half minutes to almost seventeen. The album mainly features the current lineup in full, made up of David Goodier, John O'Hara, Scott Hammond and guitarist Jack Clark, here making his recording debut with the band; also taking part are former keyboardist Andrew Giddings and drummer James Duncan.

Formed in 1968 around the figure of Ian Anderson, Jethro Tull quickly established themselves on the British scene following early appearances at the Marquee Club in London and the Sunbury Jazz and Blues Festival. Their debut "This Was" was released with Mick Abrahams on guitar, Glenn Cornick on bass and Clive Bunker on drums; with the arrival of Martin Barre, the band would go on to define one of the most recognizable identities in prog-rock, blending British folk, blues, hard rock and classical music. Through numerous lineup changes, Anderson has kept the Jethro Tull name alive, with the band still regularly performing on stages around the world today.
