Ditonellapiaga: watch the video for new single “Businessman”

Ditonellapiaga released her new single “Businessman” today. Behind its light, breezy surface, the track uses irony and sarcasm to take a close look at the contradictions of the contemporary work world and the corporate language that comes with it. At its core is a satire of professional dynamics that are increasingly widespread in the age of permanent productivity. Through surreal tones and deliberately exaggerated imagery, Ditonellapiaga pushes the codes of corporate communication to the extreme, turning them into a caricature that highlights obsessions like round-the-clock availability, the endless juggling of calls and emails, and the need to appear constantly efficient, even on social media. The idea was accompanied by a promotional campaign built around an improbable job listing from the fictitious Ditonellapiaga Inc., searching for a professional figure capable of responding to any request at any moment of the year, August included. The satirical tone is further reinforced by absurd perks and deliberately over-the-top requirements, perfectly in keeping with the song's imaginative universe. With her pop, ironic and surreal style, the Roman artist, born Margherita Carducci, turns a simple job posting into a narrative game that draws in the audience and sets the mood for “Businessman”.

The single's release follows the album “Miss Italy“, a work that cemented Ditonellapiaga's artistic identity and her ability to capture the present day through a personal, sharp and instantly recognizable perspective.

Ditonellapiaga will return to club stages in the fall with two special dates: November 27, 2026 at the Atlantico in Rome and November 30, 2026 at the Fabrique in Milan. Tickets for the Rome and Milan shows are already available on TicketOne and through the usual sales and presale channels.
