On her birthday, just weeks after appearing at the 2026 Sanremo Festival, Ditonellapiaga announces the release of her new album "Miss Italy", out Friday 10 April via Bmg/Dischi Belli.

The album emerged from a period of personal and creative disorientation, turned into a necessary pause to question everything. "Miss Italy" takes shape as a response to that need: a work centered on the will to stay true to oneself within a system that often pushes toward conformity. Written and composed by Margherita Carducci aka Ditonellapiaga together with Alessandro Casagni, who also handles production, the album reflects on standards, on how others look at us, and on the idea of adequacy. This is where the Roman artist's irony emerges, rediscovering a brazen, deliberately off-kilter voice that stays true to her artistic identity.

The release was preceded in late January by the single "Sì lo so" (see below), accompanied by its music video.

Alongside the single comes "Che fastidio!", the project's manifesto track and the song competing at the upcoming Sanremo Festival. With direct, sharp verses, "Che fastidio!" flips expectations and turns self-irony into a narrative engine, recounting with critical lightness everyday friction and that persistent feeling of being out of place, in the world and within oneself.

Between electronics and pop-dance, "Miss Italy" moves through the cracks in the star system, questioning its myths and masks and turning its contradictions into a lucid, self-aware parody that never indulges in self-satisfaction. It's an operation that wields sarcasm as a critical tool, without ever giving up immediacy.
