From Arab Strap to Travis Scott: the most interesting new releases

Singles Going Steady, or the beauty of the single format (or the 45 rpm record, as it used to be called). Kicking off a new column dedicated to the most interesting singles released in the past week. Here are the tracks that struck us most from the last seven days, complete with their videos.

Arab Strap – “Bliss”

The Arab Strap are back with a new album out on May 10th. It's titled “I’m totally fine with it ???? don’t give a fuck anymore ????” and will be released on Rock Action Records, three years on from their previous “As Days Get Dark“. “The album examines urgent, current themes – a band statement reads – such as conspiracy theories, internet addiction, and the forgotten souls on our seemingly connected planet, all wrapped up in some of the most infectious melodies of the band's career”. Here is the first single taken from the record.

Liam Gallagher Ft. John Squire – “Mars To Liverpool”

Just weeks after the release of first single “Just Another Rainbow”, the Oasis singer and the Stone Roses guitarist share second extract “Mars To Liverpool”, adding further details about the new album due out on March 1st, titled  “Liam Gallagher John Squire”.

Justice Ft. Tame Impala – “One Night/All Night”

Justice release a new featuring with Tame Impala that previews new album Hyperdrama, out on April 24th via Because Music/Virgin Music. The French electronic music duo have also announced new tour dates for this year and will stop in Italy on June 14th for the Nameless Festival in Lecco.

Adrianne Lenker – “Sadness As A Gift"

Adrianne Lenker, frontwoman of Big Thief, will release a new solo album on March 22nd via 4AD, titled “Bright Future”. The follow-up to  “Songs And Instrumentals” from 2020 will feature previously shared single “Ruined”, and the second extract released just a few days ago, this “Sadness As A Gift".

Travis Scott – “I Know?”

Standing out above all is the video for Travis Scott 's new single “I Know”, the fourth extract from his latest album “Utopia” released in July, co-directed by filmmaker Dave Meyers: the video features renowned American model and actress Emily Ratajkowsky, wearing an Inter Milan shirt, and 2023 Model of the Year Anok Yai.
