Comfort and pain, an embrace that turns suffocating, holding opposing sensations in perfect balance. It's on this duality that the sound shaped by Martyna Basta develops, giving form to her third album, the first released through 7K, the experimental offshoot of the prestigious !K7. A record that thrives on the disorienting contrast radiated by the skillful interweaving of enchanting melodic textures and spectral dissonance.

A virtuous interpenetration that flows into evanescent song forms, with whispers in asmr mode – the inevitable reference point is Felicia Atkinson – sliding over electroacoustic phrasing akin to the celestial suggestions of Aaron Martin's "Comet's Coma" or "The Rustle Of The Stars" by the duo Knox & Oberland ("Hands Want To"). An unstable balance moving between baroque temptations drawn from the Polish musician's classical training ("Sob And Moan") and hauntological electronic inflections ("Crystal").

A universe of very deep shadows and icy blades of light in constant confrontation, bolstered with utmost coherence by outside contributions, among which the cinematic touch offered by Rainy Miller stands out ("2674"), along with the jarring voice/strings dialogue with the duo LEYA ("Laid") and james K's dreamgaze vocals closing the record ("Say It Closely").
An intimate diary that paints the cracks of a restless soul through an evocative sonic combination, a listening space that is at once tactile and rarefied, deeply seductive.
