Felicia Atkinson is a French artist and musician whose practice combines various forms of creative expression, especially poetry and painting. Her music often incorporates elements of improvisation, sampling and ambient sounds, creating dreamlike, contemplative atmospheres. Atkinson is also known for her live performances, where she uses a variety of instruments and technologies to explore the relationships between sound, space and perception.
Her multifaceted artistic research focuses on themes such as memory, nature and the interaction between humans and the environment. Introduced to music production by Sylvain Chauveau – also active under the alias Je Suis Le Petit Chevalier – over the years she has built up numerous collaborations and is co-founder, together with her husband Bartolomé Sanson, of the renowned label Shelter Press. Her work has been showcased at festivals and art galleries around the world, earning her a devoted following and recognition in the contemporary art and experimental music scene.
