Cycles and loops, glitches and vorticist spirals of sound are all the certainties Roach pours into the six tracks of the new full-length, with ardor, lending cellular, molecular life to a sound that would otherwise tend toward the cold and artificial: the artist's touch, the fine brushstroke of an expressionist painter of sound.
In every track reigns a contemplative harmony, small ecstasies typical of Roach; already with "We Continue", the album opener, nothing is corrupted, nothing can corrupt a crystalline sound, progressive across the countless evolutions of the relationship between synth and conceptual elaboration. Every sound is a movement, the fraction redistributed across the whole of a contemporary suite, closely refined with the conceptual approach of Philip Glass. An evolved work, in which to rediscover new inspirations with every listen, with passive ecstasy.
There are plenty of nods to electronic kraut, the fruit of long experience too, a lifetime spent behind analogue and digital machines: "Primary Phase" carries echoes of the "oxygenated" paths of Jean-Michel Jarre, while in the finale the title track delivers almost twenty minutes of pure beauty: the rush, the flow of electrons, of white and red blood cells, the migratory flight of geese scattered beyond the clouds, shoals of fish immersed in the absolute blue of sound, of life.
In “Spiral Revelation” c’è vita nella musica, musica nella vita, bellezza infinita e passione senza ragione, solo cuore, tanto cuore.
