Vasco Rossi is gearing up for his stadium comeback with “Vasco Live 2026”, the tour that will officially kick off on June 5 and 6 at the Parco Urbano G. Bassani in Ferrara, preceded by the traditional “date zero” show on May 30 at the Stadio Romeo Neri in Rimini. Between rehearsals and promotional activities, the rocker from Zocca has started revealing some details about the show and, above all, about his plans for 2027, the year he'll celebrate 50 years in the business. In an interview given to Robinson di Repubblica, Vasco spoke about the comic book dedicated to his artistic history, while in the pages of TV Sorrisi e Canzoni he offered a preview of some features of the new tour: “The setlist will surprise you. I wanted to take the production away from the cities, so we're heading to Sardinia, then Bari, Ferrara, Ancona and Udine. It's a different kind of run than usual.” Attention, however, is already turning to 2027. Vasco Rossi has in fact confirmed that he's working on a huge celebratory event for his fifty years in the business: “I had the idea of throwing a big party, and we're working on an event for 500,000 people.” A project that, in the singer's intentions, will need to stand clearly apart from “Modena Park”, the 2017 concert that drew over 225,000 spectators and set the Italian record at the time for a single live show. A record that could be broken this summer by Ultimo's concert, set for July 4 at Tor Vergata, with an estimated attendance of around 250,000 people.
Vasco's celebratory event is still in its embryonic stages: there's talk of multiple dates, or possibly a format entirely different from the traditional mass gatherings. There's no official word yet on the venue, though Modena remains one of the options under consideration to host what could become one of the biggest music events ever staged in Italy.
Meanwhile, anticipation is building for the setlist of “Vasco Live 2026”. “It's going to be a BOMB!”, Vasco wrote on Instagram a few months ago, posting a photo from the studio with his collaborators. “Vince will send the musicians all the new parts to study so they arrive at rehearsals ready to play them together,” he added. Rehearsals took place at Cromie in Castellaneta, in the province of Taranto, which has by now become a fixed reference point for the rocker's tour preparations. Among the expected tracks should be “Bolle di sapone”, taken from the 1985 album “Cosa succede in città”, recently reissued for its fortieth anniversary. On stage with Vasco Rossi will be the usual lineup led by musical director and guitarist Vince Pastano, alongside Stef Burns, Andrea Torresani, Alberto Rocchetti, Donald Renda, Antonello D'Urso, Roberta Montanari, Andrea Ferrario, Tiziano Bianchi and Roberto Solimando.
