Vasco Rossi in comics: first images from the graphic novel about his story "Una favola lunga una vita"

19-04-2026

"Exclusive preview… unauthorized… worldwide… For You". That's how Vasco Rossi teased on Instagram the release, set for May 19, of "Vasco – La rabbia giovane", the first installment of the publishing project "Vasco. Una favola lunga una vita", dedicated to the rocker from Zocca.

In the post, the singer shared some pages from the volume, accompanying them with a personal memory: “I've always loved comics, ever since I was a kid. From Alan Ford to Diabolik, not to mention Topolino, I devoured them all. I liked the idea of starting a different journey every time. A short journey, though, one that doesn't need too much time or cumbersome baggage”.

The same statement also stresses that the "project brings together comics, music and memory, once again confirming Sergio Bonelli Editore's ability to tell the story of the great icons of Italian culture through the powerful, contemporary language of the graphic novel."

The work unfolds across three full-color volumes, each around a hundred pages long, tracing the artist's life and career through a comic-book narrative that weaves together music, words, images and collective memory. The scripts are by Barbara Baraldi, editor and writer on Dylan Dog, who previously authored "Dylan Dog: Jenny", an issue inspired by Vasco Rossi's song "Jenny". The artwork is handled by Sergio Gerasi and Flavia Biondi, two artists with distinct yet complementary styles, tasked with capturing the many facets of their subject.

Rounding out each volume is a section of "extra pages" featuring archival material, handwritten notes and historic images. The second and third instalments are due out in July and autumn respectively.
