SOMBR releases a new single: listen to “Homewrecker”. Live in Italy in February

06-02-2026

SOMBR returns with new music. The US artist releases “Homewrecker” today, his first single since “I Barely Know Her”, the debut album released in 2025 to widespread critical acclaim.

Written and co-produced by Grammy-nominated SOMBR himself, “Homewrecker” comes with an official video starring Quenlin Blackwell and Milo Manheim.

The video, directed by Gus Black (who has previously worked with Phoebe Bridgers and Laufey), translates the song's emotional instability into images. Set on the shoot of a western film, the story follows SOMBR and Blackwell dealing with an authoritarian director played by Manheim. The narrative unfolds on increasingly shaky ground, as the lines between acting and reality begin to blur, building to a showdown that explicitly evokes classic western imagery.

On the live front, SOMBR will play a show in Italy on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at Alcatraz in Milan.

From the intimacy of his own bedroom to the biggest stages in the States, from a sound tailor-made for small scale to the most explosive big music, perfect for filling the vastest of spaces. In the space of just a few years, thanks to impressive word of mouth (and of course the backing of Warner), the kid who seemed set on a path of decent but ultimately unremarkable folk-rock has completely turned the page, revealing himself as one of the phenomena of 2025. Barely twenty years old, with an instrumental versatility that lets him play an entire band's worth of parts on his own, Shane Boose, better known by the striking alias SOMBR, bursts into the English-language charts with a rock savoir faire that seemed to have vanished entirely, replaced by genres and trends at the polar opposite. Part glam star of the '70s, part beautiful-and-doomed frontman from a britpop band, he arrives at his debut album with a broken heart, yes (more on that later), but above all with a sonic alchemy that roams freely across decades, letting his fingers glide through the records of the Beach Boys, New York new wave and early '80s funk without batting an eye. The songs on "I Barely Know Her" are as powerful as, at their best, they are electrifying.
