Carlos Santana is coming back to Italy. The guitarist will perform on 18 July 2027 at the Lucca Summer Festival, on the Mura Storiche stage, as part of the “Planet Of Free Will Global Tour 2027”. It will be his third appearance at the Tuscan festival, which next year will celebrate its thirtieth anniversary. It's also a special occasion for the Mexican-born musician, who will turn 80 on 20 July, just two days after the concert.
Tickets for the show, organised by D’Alessandro e Galli, will go on sale from 11am on Friday 23 October via TicketOne.
The tour's other Italian date has already been announced: 17 July 2027 in Pordenone – Parco San Valentino (9pm), as part of Pordenone Italian Capital of Culture 2027.
Carlos Santana has crossed decades and trends, clinging tenaciously to his instrument and his multifaceted vision of rock. The saga of the legendary Mexican guitarist spans everything from Miles Davis to Latin rock, from the hippie era that culminated in the epic Woodstock performance, through the hits of the '70s, to the unexpected comeback at the end of the century with "Supernatural".
His most recent album, "Blessings And Miracles", dates back to 2021.
