The performances were voted on by the public via televoting, by the Press, TV and Web Jury, and by the Radio Jury.
Ditonellapiaga thus wins the Sanremo Festival's cover night, paired with TonyPitony, performing Frank Sinatra's “The Lady Is A Tramp”. An interpretation built on an elegant, dynamic arrangement that showcased the interplay between the two voices and the orchestra's contribution.
On the Ariston stage, at the moment of the award, the Roman singer-songwriter wanted to highlight the collective work behind the performance: “Thanks to conductor Carolina Bubbico for the wonderful arrangement and to the orchestra, who played beautifully”. She then had a word for her performance partner: “Thanks to Tony, who accompanied me through this experience, and to everyone who voted for us”.
After this success in the duets night, which is usually quite significant for the final outcome too, there's curiosity about whether Margherita Carducci aka Ditonellapiaga will manage to prevail in the Big Artists competition as well, with her “How annoying!“, one of the Sanremo songs currently enjoying the most success, including in terms of radio airplay.
