After the success of last year's edition, which concluded with a win for Rome-based singer Anita Guarino, aka Ventidue (here's our interview), the Raccoon Music Award returns, the contest dedicated to music projects led by artists under 30 from the Italian capital. Once again this year, OndaRock will be the official sponsor, accompanying a journey that will bring the new voices of Rome's independent scene to the stages of some of the city's most iconic clubs: Monk, Wishlist and Let It Beer.
The second edition is enriched by two major new partners, Radio Rock and Saint Louis College of Music, and offers concrete prizes up for grabs:
• First prize: €500 to support the project, an interview on OndaRock and the Saint Louis Prize (a €1,000 masterclass or a 15% discount on tuition fees).
• Second prize: production of a track at 2oRecords studios.
• Critics' Prizes: official distribution with AlfaMusic and a live interview on Radio Rock.
The contest will be structured in three phases: the rounds at Let It Beer, the semifinals at Wishlist and the final at Monk, where only six projects will get the chance to compete for the win in front of an audience and a jury.
Entries will remain open until October 20, 2025. The entry fee is €50 for solo artists and €100 for bands, payable only upon selection. To take part, applicants are required to submit two live videos and three promotional photos.
The Raccoon Music Award 2025 is organized in collaboration with Radio Rock, OndaRock, Saint Louis College of Music, Arte2O, La Stanza della Musica and AlfaMusic.
