First images for “Je so’ pazzo”, the biopic dedicated to Pino Daniele. 01 Distribution has released the official trailer. The film, which will hit Italian cinemas on October 15, tells the human and artistic journey of the great Neapolitan singer-songwriter, from his youth in the back streets of Naples to the success that established him as one of the most important figures in Italian music.
Stepping into Pino Daniele's shoes is Massimiliano Caiazzo, an actor known for the series “Mare Fuori”, “Storia della mia famiglia” and “Uonderbois”. The film is directed by Nicola Prosatore, in his second feature after his debut with “Piano Piano”, which premiered at the 75th Locarno Film Festival.
Below is the first official trailer for the film, starring Massimiliano Caiazzo as Pino Daniele.

The film promises to tell not only the artist's musical career, but also the more personal aspects of his life, retracing the hardships, passions and nonconformist character that helped make him a landmark figure of Italian singer-songwriter music.
“Je so’ pazzo” is loosely inspired by the book “Pino Daniele. Tutto quello che mi ha dato emozione viene alla luce”, written by Alessandro Daniele, the musician's son. The production is overseen by Filippo Valsecchi for Tartare Film and Camfilm, in collaboration with Rai Cinema. Filming took place in and around Naples over roughly seven weeks.
