Phoebe Bridgers announces her new album: here's “Lost Weekend”

24-06-2026

Six years on from “Punisher“, Phoebe Bridgers has finally announced her return as a solo artist. The new album, titled “Lost Weekend”, will be released on August 14 via Dead Oceans and will be her third work under her own name, following “Stranger In The Alps” (2017) and the now-celebrated “Punisher” (2020).
The announcement comes at the end of a series of unusual shows that had been fueling fans' anticipation. Over the spring, the American singer-songwriter embarked on a surprise tour of small venues, with phone-free shows announced only a few hours before doors opened. The initiative culminated in a symbolic one-dollar show at Madison Square Garden in New York, where Bridgers played numerous unreleased songs that now seem destined to appear on the new album.

In the years following “Punisher”, Phoebe focused mainly on the boygenius project alongside Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus. The success of “The Record“, backed by a lengthy world tour and major recognition at the Grammy Awards, had temporarily pushed her solo career into the background.
Right after the Madison Square Garden show, Bridgers also announced a new arena tour set for the second half of the year, likewise built around a "phone-free" policy. In the same weeks, she also announced the closure of Saddest Factory, the label she founded within Dead Oceans, following a legal dispute over the name.

For now, neither the tracklist nor further details about “Lost Weekend” have been released. However, some images from the recording sessions have fueled speculation about the possible involvement of Matty Healy, Jack Antonoff and Alex G, the latter already confirmed as opening act for the North American leg of the tour.
“Lost Weekend” will be out August 14 via Dead Oceans. Preorder here.
