Nine Inch Nails return with a new collaborative project: on April 17th an album made together with Boys Noize, aka German producer Alexander Ridha, will be released. The record will come out under the name Nine Inch Noize.
The collaboration between Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross and Ridha is nothing new: back in 2024 they had already worked together on "Challengers [Mixed]" and, later, on the soundtrack to "Tron: Ares". The announcement of the new album was preceded by a viral campaign, with billboards appearing along the road to Indio, California, home of Coachella, where the band will perform alongside Boys Noize to coincide with the album's release.

The project arrives six years after the diptych "Ghosts V: Together" and "Ghosts VI: Locusts", marking a return to recording under a new shared banner.
Meanwhile, on May 6th Reznor and Ross will be in the running at the David di Donatello awards for best original song with "Vaster Than Empires", composed for Luca Guadagnino's Queer and performed together with Caetano Veloso. Also among the nominees is Checco Zalone, competing with "La prostata enflamada", a track from the film Buen camino, which has racked up record box-office numbers in Italian cinemas.
