Metallica: the residency at the Sphere begins September 24. All the info and tickets

Metallica have announced a residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas: eight shows under the banner "Life Burns Faster", scheduled for September 24 and 26 and October 1, 3, 15, 17, 22 and 24, 2026. Tickets will go on sale to the public from March 6 at 7pm, Italian time.

The US band thus continues its path of technological experimentation applied to live performance, a hallmark that has defined its touring activity for years. The current "M72 World Tour", which kicked off in spring 2023, has already drawn over four million spectators across Europe, North America, the Pacific and the Middle East.

The Sphere shows will feature a career-spanning selection of the band's repertoire, enhanced by a visual and sound setup designed to make full use of the venue's capabilities. The structure boasts the world's highest-resolution LED display, capable of completely enveloping the audience, along with the Sphere Immersive Sound system, engineered to deliver high-definition, precision audio.

Co-founder and drummer Lars Ulrich recalled his impression from the Sphere's opening night with U2 in 2023: "About twelve seconds in I thought: we have to do this, it's completely uncharted territory". Ulrich added that the residency represents a further opportunity to rethink audience interaction in a live setting, voicing his enthusiasm for the project.
